Dr. Claudia Wood
Dr. Claudia Wood is a dentist and the owner of Ivory Dental’s Pickering clinic. She completed her dental training at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and gained early clinical experience in Michigan, including at Detroit Receiving Hospital. After returning to Canada in 2006, she practised in Scarborough before becoming the owner-dentist at Ivory Dental in Pickering.
Dr. Wood provides general, restorative and cosmetic dental care. Her clinic biography also notes volunteer service on a dental trip to Haiti.
Public register: RCDSO registration number 62224; current member status verified July 22, 2026. The RCDSO lists Ivory Dental, 1300 Kingston Road, Unit #3, as her primary practice. Verify a dentist through the RCDSO public register.
Alecia Benjamin
Alecia Benjamin is the Office Manager at Ivory Dental in Pickering. She graduated from George Brown College as a Level II Dental Assistant and has worked in dental assisting, treatment coordination and reception. Her background across clinical and administrative roles helps her explain appointment steps, coordinate treatment information and support patients as they move through their care.
Before joining Ivory Dental, Alecia worked with Dr. Trevor Mair’s dental practice in Scarborough. At the Pickering office, she focuses on making the administrative side of a visit clear and welcoming—from the first conversation through scheduling and treatment coordination.
Darshanie Persaud
Darshanie Persaud is a dental hygienist and long-time member of the Ivory Dental team. She graduated from the Dental Hygiene Program at Stafford College and joined Dr. Claudia Wood’s practice in 2012. Her dental career began in 1997 and includes experience in dental assisting and dental-office management as well as hygiene care.
Darshanie focuses on practical oral-health education that patients can use between visits. Her community involvement has included serving as a parent council chair and sharing oral-health information with families. At Ivory Dental, she helps patients understand preventive care and build routines that fit their individual needs.
